This Thing Called Life

Hi! I'm Kim.  I am a stay at home, home schoolin' momma.  We have 3 kiddos-Cody already graduated and is a Sophomore at Ole Miss. Go Rebs!!! Brock is a Sophomore in high school and Rebecca (the baby of the bunch) in 6th grade!

I have been married to my sweetie, Alan, for 21 years.

This blog will be about our adventures (or misadventures) in life, love and homeschool!! From time to time you may see posts from my daughter, Becca (it was actually her idea that I start a blog in the first place!) It is mostly to keep up with family that lives in different states that we don't see often enough!

On Wednesday, we (our homeschool group) were able to go see the Nina and Pinta replicas!! They were docked here in downtown Memphis. It was really very interesting and if you ever get the chance to see them, I would say go!! It was great because the kids have just gotten finished studying Christopher Columbus so this fell right in line!!

We just found out that my brother and sister-in-love and new niece are gonna be moving to North Carolina (from California) in the next few weeks!!! and we are going to help them!! We are so excited because 1. We haven't seen them in 1.5 years and 2. We haven't seen the "JellyBean" yet either!!! :)

Anyway, if you haven't already noticed, I write like I talk--"southern" so I will warn you that you will see a lot of run on sentences and a lot of exclamation points!! I love to talk, love my family, and love my Lord--and I hope to cover LOTS of topics here!

Hope you will stop by often, Be blessed today!!
Kim

  1. Kim,
Welcome to the blogging neighborhood. Nice to meet you around the block.
I like your falling maple leaves.
Yes, a hint of "southern" comes through. But this Yankee doesn't mind.
